Shopping for toys and games can be such fun, but it can also prove overwhelming. Knowing what you are looking for helps, and by answering a few questions before you go shopping for toys and games you will prove to have an enjoyable and fruitful experience.

What sex is the child? A little girl might be more interested in a doll than a truck. Of course in this day and age of political correctness she might like the truck. A quick call to Mom or Dad to find out her preferences will help before shopping for toys and games.

The age of the child is also important. A nine year old is not going to appreciate a preschool aged toy, nor is a 4 year old going to like to play something that requires a great deal of reading. Knowing the age of the child will make shopping for toys and games easier.

Does Mom or Dad want the child to have a certain type of toy or toy? IS Mom has a phobia about a video toy then it might be best to avoid such a game or toy. However if Dad really wants the child to get a new B-b gun, perhaps it is best for liability in today’s world to help him go shopping for that toy or game.
