Educational games for toddlers – building
more than a thirst for winning
You have a toddler in your life and you
want to encourage her to play and learn, what better way than with an
educational game for your toddler. Toddlers have allot more going for
them that people realize, they have the ability to recognized colors,
shapes, faces, and are building all of this information in a giant storage
box (not really but it sounds good). Pull from this box of memory and
engage her in some good play with a molding educational game for toddlers.
One of the best games to play with a
toddler is memory. You can play with a card game that is specifically
designed to promote shapes, colors, objects in array of photos or clip art
tempting the child with colors and world of imagination. These are readily
available at any department store and come in all shape and sizes. The
kinds with the neat organized boxes are nice, only for putting the game
away at a later date.
If you are short on funds, and
overflowing with creativity, you can air on the cheap side and create your
own educational game for your toddler with found objects from around the
house. Use spoons, crayons, markers, even a floppy disk. Try to get
the same colors in matching items; this also helps in memory recognition.
Place all of these items under piece of fabric that are the same color,
you could use colored paper napkins as well, and have the toddler pick up
one napkin at a time to see what is under it. She will catch on to the
game matching items together with ease, until you find more things to hide
under the napkins. She may even star doing this sort of thing around the
house, when you are not playing the game, engaging Peek-a-boo with found
objects around the house.
Challenging the toddler is not a
difficult thing to you can stimulate her thirst for learning with an
educational game for toddler.
