Educational game for teen – what to get a picky teenager

Honestly buying a gift for a teenager can be a real challenge. The music, the clothing, and more, what is a sane person to get but an educational toy for a teen? Just because a child is not a teenager and is feeling his oats, does not mean that he ca not gain experience and enjoy and educational toy for a teen. What on earth might a teenager like in an educational toy? Here are some suggestions:

Music- Give a teen a great gift with a CD or computer program that shows him how to create his own music. If he can already play the piano or guitar, there are program out there that help people copse songs and lyrics, writing everything out without having to spend hours. If he does not play an instrument, there are programs that show how to play the piano, how to play the guitar or bass. These programs are usually affordable and certainly rank higher in the learning scale than a CD of his favorite R & B.

Science- This is a challenging and interesting subject. There are some great educational games for teens that focus on science and even help a teen in passing AP (accelerated placement) classes in college. They have fun and get some real help moving up in life.

Math- for many people math is a real stumbling block. Give a teen an educational toy that is more than just the basics of math, give him something that gets him to focus on real life situations. There are games that have the player set up their own business and run it. They have to buy the land, buy the materials, build the store, etc, all getting math and reasoning skills a real work out.

Of course there are many more educational games for teens that might focus on planning, or history, etc. Certainly, giving the gift of learning to a picky teenager is a great gift that will last a lifetime. Give more than just the normal gift, give an educational gift for a teen.
